Alexandra Shyshkina is a commercial and conceptual photographer based out of Portland, OR. She uses photography and photo illustration as tools to push the boundaries of perspective and consumer expectations, exploring human nature in its raw and vulnerable state.

Her conceptual images are intricate and complex. They invite close examination, revealing darkly ambiguous stories.  Embracing texture and a muted color pallet, Shyshkina develops each image deliberately to convey a mood and express sophisticated concepts.

The commercial work she creates also involves conceptual vision,  combining unexpected elements and producing dynamic images of ordinary objects. Her photographs of both product and human form evoke emotions through graphically strong composition, and vivid use of light and color.
